Luxury hospitality is built on thousands of small details. The warmth of the welcome. The tranquility of a guest room. The ambience of a restaurant at sunset. Even before guests notice the architecture or the service, they experience the space through light.
For Seolhae Surim, a premium resort on South Korea’s east coast, lighting became an essential part of creating that experience. The project called for a solution that would blend naturally with the surrounding landscape while delivering the comfort, elegance and reliability expected from a luxury destination.
The challenge
Hospitality lighting has one of the most demanding jobs in modern architecture. It must enhance the design without dominating it. It needs to create different moods throughout the day, remain comfortable for guests and operate reliably around the clock, all while helping the property reduce energy consumption and maintenance.
At Seolhae Surim, these expectations extended across guest rooms and shared spaces, requiring a lighting system capable of delivering consistent performance throughout the entire resort.
The solution
To realise this vision, Inventronics supplied a complete LED driver solution integrated into Archion luminaires throughout the resort.
The system combines constant-voltage drivers, DALI-controlled solutions and LED modules, enabling flexible lighting scenes while ensuring stable operation across every application.
Instead of selecting individual components, the project team focused on creating a complete lighting system that would support both the architectural vision and the long-term operational needs of the resort.
Collaboration that built confidence

Lighting engineering was delivered by B2 Co., Ltd., while Studio Formgiver developed the lighting design. Throughout the project, the Inventronics Korea team worked closely with both organisations, including hosting them at the company’s headquarters to present its lighting technologies and system expertise.
These exchanges strengthened confidence in the proposed solution and helped establish the close cooperation that contributed to the successful delivery of the project. Strong relationships with the general contractor also proved to be a key success factor.

The project demonstrates how application-focused lighting systems can support both exceptional guest experiences and dependable building performance, proving that the best lighting is often the lighting guests never notice, but always remember.
