In 2025, Inventronics supported the implementation of the first large-scale, fully DALI-2 based intelligent lighting system in China’s alloy aluminium industry, in collaboration with system integrator Beijing Hanmingde Technology Development Co., Ltd. The project was realised at a major aluminium production base, setting a new benchmark for intelligent lighting in extreme industrial environments.
The production facility features long-span industrial buildings with lengths of up to one-kilometre, dense machinery layouts, and complex processes that make conventional lighting solutions difficult to deploy. In addition, the environment places exceptional demands on lighting components and control stability due to:
- Sustained high temperatures exceeding 55 °C
- Strong magnetic fields
- Presence of corrosive dust
- Large-scale, continuous operation
Inventronics supplied nearly 1,000 DALI-2 LED drivers (EUM-Ex series). Fully certified to the DALI-2 standard, the drivers provide high surge protection, strong resistance to electromagnetic interference, and reliable performance at elevated ambient temperatures.
Based on the DALI-2 protocol, the system enables:
- Flexible grouping and control independent of physical wiring
- Real-time luminaire monitoring
- Fault reporting
- Accurate energy consumption measurement
The intelligent lighting system is seamlessly integrated into the factory management platform, supporting efficient operation, reduced maintenance, and transparent energy management.
The project was recognised with the Silver Award in the “Industrial Space” category at the 2025 DALI China Awards, acknowledging its successful large-scale application of DALI-2 lighting control in a highly demanding industrial setting.
