Application: Sports Facility / Stadium Lighting
Details:
Location: Barueri, São Paulo – Brazil
Year: 2025
Modern stadium lighting is no longer only about achieving lux levels. Sports venues today must deliver broadcast-quality illumination, operational reliability, energy efficiency, and immersive fan experiences simultaneously.
For the Arena Barueri project, the challenge was to create a lighting system capable of meeting the demanding standards required for the Brazilian Championship Serie A while also enabling dynamic entertainment lighting scenes that elevate the atmosphere inside the stadium.
This project demonstrates how system and solution offerings only create real customer value when paired with strong application focus. The technical solution needed to address the realities of large-scale sports lighting applications: high-power operation, robust environmental performance, flexible control integration, and seamless support for entertainment-driven lighting experiences.

The challenge
The project demanded a solution that could reliably support high-power sports lighting while simultaneously enabling sophisticated static and dynamic lighting scenes integrating both white light and RGBW systems.
For stadium applications, reliability and installation flexibility are essential. The system also needs to withstand demanding operating conditions while supporting advanced lighting control protocols for show functionality.
The solution
Novvalight designed, supplied, and installed a new stadium lighting system using 228 high-power floodlights rated at 964 W.
Each luminaire is equipped with our Inventronics NFS-1K2D210BC LED drivers configured for DMX protocol operation, enabling precise control of both functional and entertainment lighting.
The lighting show incorporates:
- Static lighting scenes
- Dynamic lighting effects
- White lighting integration
- RGBW lighting capabilities
The flexibility of the Inventronics NFS driver platform allowed the system to combine professional sports illumination with immersive visual experiences for fans and event organizers.
Why Inventronics
The Inventronics NFS driver family provided several important advantages for this stadium application:
- Mechanical Robustness: Sports lighting installations require highly durable components capable of operating reliably in challenging outdoor environments. The NFS platform delivers the robustness necessary for demanding infrastructure projects.
- Wide Input Voltage Range: The driver supports an extended input voltage range of 200–440 V, providing flexibility and stable operation across varying electrical infrastructures.
- Multi-Protocol Support: Support for both DALI and DMX protocols enabled flexible integration between functional sports lighting and dynamic entertainment lighting systems.
- Flexible Installation Options: The NFS driver can be installed either onboard or remotely from the luminaire optical assembly – providing valuable flexibility for stadium luminaire design, thermal management, and installation optimization.
Results
The Arena Barueri project successfully delivered:
- Compliance with Brazilian Championship Serie A lighting standards
- A modern and immersive stadium lighting experience
- Reliable high-power LED lighting performance
- Advanced DMX-controlled lighting scenes
- Flexible system integration for entertainment applications
By combining application-focused lighting design with robust driver technology, the project demonstrates how intelligent system solutions create measurable value in modern sports lighting environments.
Conclusion
Arena Barueri highlights the growing importance of application-driven lighting solutions in modern sports facilities. Beyond illumination performance, today’s stadiums require integrated systems that support broadcast standards, operational reliability, and fan engagement.
Through the combination of Novvalight’s application expertise and Inventronics’ robust NFS driver platform, the project successfully transformed the stadium into a compliant, dynamic, and immersive venue prepared for professional sports and entertainment experiences.
